I wanted to draw everyone in NC's attention to NCDCTA's summer Adult Dressage Camp. It looks like it is going to be a great 3-day weekend in August. Here's the scoop:
The NCDCTA has two great clinicians lined up for a great weekend of learning for you and your horse.
Harriet Peterson of Lynchburg Virginia
USDF Certified Instructor through 4th Level
USDF “r” Judge
Dawn Jensen of Columbia South Carolina
Graduate Balimo (BALance In Motion) Instructor
Director of Curriculum, Equestrian Education Systems/Balimo
Camp will include dinner on Friday with a lecture on biomechanics
and riding, and lessons with both clinicians on Saturday and Sunday,
with more lectures possible. Dawn will help riders with a light riding session
that addresses the biomechanics of riding and
give them exercises to correct their position.
Then riders will have a riding session with
Harriet to work on their overall dressage
performance. Each rider will have at least one
private and one semi-private ride with each
clinician.Dawn has offered an unmounted warm-up
session for the mornings, if riders are interested. Lunch on
Saturday and Sunday will be provided.
Cost will be $200 per
attendee.
Auditing is encouraged!
